On October 31st, SUAKA had conducted an online Public Discussion and Launching Session of the Refugee Legal Needs Survey in Indonesia. This survey was conducted to map the legal problems faced by refugees while in Indonesia and how refugees respond to or resolve the legal problems they face.
Through the launch of this report, SUAKA hopes that the results of this basic study can influence not only the practice of providing the legal aid that is inclusive to vulnerable groups, but also effective in relation to the process of providing legal aid, and structured mechanistically in accordance with legal aid policies. SUAKA also hopes that this report can contribute to changes in the human rights-based policies both the central and regional levels.
